Solar plants in bharathidasan university

 Bharathidasan University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for setting up of two major solar power plants with the Bharat Heavy Electronics-EDN, Bangalore, one on the main premises and the other on Khajamalai Campus on Friday.

The main campus will get a 500-kWp Ground Mounted Grid Interactive Solar PV Power Plant with all possible provisions for increasing the power generation up to 1000 kWp.

They had allotted huge infra of about 10 acres of land for this purpose. Similarly, two numbers of 50 kWp (each) Rooftop Grid Interactive Solar PV Power Plant would be installed on Khajamalai campus, one on the roof terrace of BUTP building and the other over the building of the IECD.
